At StarkSouk, we believe that clear and effective communication is key to delivering successful projects. To enhance the collaboration between our team and clients, we have established the following Camera On-Off Guidelines for all virtual meetings:
1. General Guideline
- We encourage both our team members and clients to turn on their cameras during virtual meetings to foster better engagement, build rapport, and enhance communication through non-verbal cues. However, we understand that there may be circumstances where this is not feasible.
2. When Cameras Should Be On
- Initial Project Meetings: For introductions, project kick-offs, and major milestone reviews, we recommend that cameras be on to create a more personal connection and establish trust between both parties.
- Key Decision-Making Sessions: During discussions requiring important decisions, design reviews, or presentations of final deliverables, having cameras on ensures that both parties are fully engaged and can provide immediate feedback.
- Workshops or Collaborative Sessions: In meetings that involve brainstorming, strategy discussions, or collaborative work, visual interaction can enhance the quality of participation and idea-sharing.
3. When Cameras Can Be Off
- Routine Check-ins: For regular status updates or minor project discussions, keeping the camera off is acceptable if all participants feel comfortable with this format.
- Client Preference: If a client prefers to have the camera off for personal reasons, we fully respect that decision. We kindly ask clients to communicate their preferences in advance so our team can adjust accordingly.
- Technical Issues: If a participant is experiencing connectivity problems or technical difficulties with their camera, keeping it off to maintain meeting flow is acceptable.
4. Client Discretion and Comfort
- We prioritize client comfort and will always accommodate any preferences they may have regarding camera use. Should a client feel uncomfortable having their camera on, they are encouraged to let us know before the meeting.
5. Conflict Resolution
- If any discomfort or confusion arises due to the camera policy, we encourage open communication to resolve the issue. StarkSouk is committed to ensuring that all meetings, with or without cameras, remain productive, respectful, and aligned with the project's goals.
