Who Determines Raises?
Team leads decide raises based on individual performance, using QTPRs as a baseline. Final approval comes from the Studio Core Team, with HR’s support, ensuring budgets are managed. The Core Team also sets the structure and range for raises during appraisals.
When Are Raises Discussed?
- During Annual Appraisals: Raises are reviewed once a year, after feedback cycles. StarkSouk has two appraisal cycles: April and October ( Every 2 Quarters). Eligibility requires at least 9 full months of employment.
- If You Bring It Up: If you're unhappy with your pay, speak with your team lead. Be prepared with clear reasoning for a constructive discussion.
- If We Bring It Up: Leadership or HR may proactively discuss your compensation.
Good Reasons to Request a Raise
- Significant Role Change: Your responsibilities have grown, and your next appraisal is far off.
- Steep Learning Curve: Your skills and impact have increased beyond your current pay. Be ready to quantify this.
- Market or Internal Changes: New factors make your contributions more valuable.
